Bah Kut Teh

Once in a while when I have a meat craving, I prefer a good bah kut teh instead of a steak.

You can have a side order of tofu and Yu char koey dipped into the hot herbal soup.

I also like lots of fresh chopped garlic and chilly drowned in thick sweet black soya sauce.

Yu char koeh is a favourite addition. Don't forget to ask for some yam rice instead of just plain rice.

Fish Roe Curry

No wonder I keep putting on weight in Penang. Just had a billion calories plus cholesterol for supper at a nasi kansar shop in Pulau Tikus, opposite the police station. Fish roe curry is something I can't find in Australia and so I could not resist. I probably have it 2x a year and enjoy it. Ahh I can feel my coronary arteries filling up.
