In most of the larger hawker food centers, you will find a stall displaying fresh seafood which you can choose to be BBQed right there for you. Yup all the fantastic tastiness of a BBQ without having to get dirty. You can choose fresh fish and stingray (han gar hu ... mmm my favourite!) which will be grilled with a special chilly sauce.
