Penang Chee Cheong Choke

Penang Chee Cheong Choke, originally uploaded by tidaknama.

At the Newlane Coffee Shop next to the Sunway hotel is my favourite pork entrail broth hawker stall. She only sells in the evening and is sold out by 8pm.

The brown entrails are cleaned and fried crispy, the white ones are boiled. They are served with bbq pork or char siew. It may sound gross, but it tastes very nice, especially the crunchy bits. Costs RM4.50 a bowl. Not many coffee shops have this delicacy.

Here it is with crunchy intestines and broth. A sprinkle of pepper and garnishing of chives and char siew. Very nice for a change and tastes great!

It is really disgusting. Pig intestines but served near human waste.
