Pan Mee Noodles

The thick freshly made flat noodles make this dish special. The stall is in Pulau Tikus next to Belissa Row AmBank.

A nice soupy breakfast with hand made noodles. The fried anchovies (ikan bilis) lend an interesting texture and salty taste to the dish.

Pan Mee or Ban Min (Chinese : 板麺) is a Hokkien-style egg noodle soup, some forms of Ban mian, comprises hand-kneaded pieces of dough, while others use regular strips of noodles.

Another interesting dish. Hand made noodles served in a simple chicken stock with dried anchovies and garnishings. A squeeze of lime gives it that extra kick.

Those hand made noodles are yummy.

again, pan mee is not penang's specialty as its not hokkien's food, its hakkar. i had tried a stall where some friend recommend at bukit jambul n i can conclude its not the real pan mee n its very disappointing. The best pan mee is in KL cheras ' chili pan mee'.
