Penang Char Koay Kak
Once in a while I have a nice plate of CKK, the close relative of the Char Koay Teow. The main difference is that instead of flat koaw teow noodles, blocks of rice cakes are fried with seafood and eggs. Tau geh and some preserved vegetables add extra bite to it.
This was eaten at the New Cathay coffee shop in Pulau Tikus.
Just like char koay teow but with blockes of starch instead of flat noodles. Surprisingly nice especially those small pieces of preserved vege and seafood. Darn...making myself hungry again.

Another picture of my Char Koay Kak. Tasty and needs to be eaten fresh and hot.

Hey there,
I agree with you. I'm Penangite now leaving in KL. I simply can't have enough of CKK. It's a must for me to have it everyday till the day I go back. It's so sad that so many stalls in KL that I've tried have failed to entice me.
