Nonya Kueh : Kueh Talam

I was priveledged to have lunch at my auntie's home who is a fantastic cook. She prepared traditional kueh talam which is a nonya cake made of pandan and coconut.

They are set in teacups.

And eaten with freshly scraped coconut flesh. A pinch of salt added to the coconut really brings out it's special taste.

I had to have anoher one!

This is not kuih talam but kuih kosui. Kuih talam is cut in a diamond shape with a layer of white and thick coconut milk on top. :)
